IAPS History
IAPS originally launched in 1999, and in all over the world on the basis
of local legislation, used the region language to register as a legal,
non-profit autonomous organization. It belongs to the international
professional organizations in the field of applied psychology, the aim
is through joint applied psychology professionals around the world to
promote the exchange of academic research, information and encourage
practice, thus the can contribute to the professional development and
improve of psychological global application level.
The purpose is as follows:
(1) to strive for and safeguard the lawful rights and interests of members;
(2) to expand and enhance the applied psychology profession;
(3) to strengthen the international cooperation in applied psychology and promote the work related to applied psychology.
IAPS members must have at least 36 class hours of training, 12
applied psychological counseling case reports, and at least 15 hours of
continuing education per year to maintain their accreditation.
